This page describes our condition guide. It is very important that you do your best with this condition guide so we can afford to pay you as much as we do for your used golf club trade-ins. We have three different condition ratings, Excellent, Good, and Fair. Each condition is described in very high detail below with some pictures, as to prevent any mistakes or confusion. You must follow this condition guide as accurately as you can. Please remember that a club must meet all requirements of a particular condition category or else it falls into the next lower category. All clubs should be clean before they are sent to us so that an accurate assessment of condition can be made. If you can clean up a golf club to push it up to a higher condition category then please, by all means do so. We will assess each club in the exact condition that we receive it, so dirty clubs will more than likely fall in lower condition categories than they could if they were clean. There can often be a large price gap between the three conditions on a particular club or iron set so please show this page to all of your employees. They all need to accurately assess your trade-ins as to prevent paying customers too much or too little for their golf clubs. We suggest that you print this page and leave a copy right next to your cash register so they can refer to it as needed.
Second Chance Golf Clubs will always try to be as lenient and fair as possible when evaluating your trade-ins. We will allow for a few mistakes on golf clubs that could fall into two condition categories. However, you should inform all your employees that it's a good rule to choose the lower-priced condition category if they are unsure about which condition a particular club falls into. This will help to avoid all discrepancies on the condition of your trade-ins. If we feel that your trade-ins are consistently entered into a higher condition category than they should be we will notify you and re-evaluate your most recent month's log sheet. If we feel that we have over-paid you because of too many mistakes on the condition of your trade-ins we will subtract this total from your next month's total. This rule does go both ways. If we feel that we have under-paid you because your trade-ins are in a better condition than you entered them, we will add this total to your next month's log sheet. However, the majority of the time we should not have to change anything.
